This position is responsible for performing accounting work in the analysis and reporting of financial transactions of NEA Member Benefits (NEAMB) and other entities including Insurance Trust (Trust); for making appropriate general ledger adjustments identified during such analysis; for implementing accepted accounting principles and procedures in performing transactions or reviewing the accounting transactions of other accounting staff; and for monitoring compliance with stated policies and procedures to attain the efficient, accurate recording of accounting transactions. This position is instrumental in compiling financial reports needed for presentation to various governing parties and for internal management.
This position is also responsible for monitoring contractual arrangements entered into by NEAMB and the Trust to ensure that all provisions and conditions are adhered to; for developing and establishing all necessary records to ensure that this is accomplished; and for maintaining executive summaries to management, summarizing the contracts. The majority of this compliance work is of financial nature.
The Controller is responsible for managing (planning, organizing, evaluating, directing, and optimizing) the organization’s financial, accounting, and internal control systems and ensuring their integrity and effectiveness. Conceptualizes, develops, synthesizes, analyzes, plans, interprets, and monitors financial systems to ensure achievement of strategic objectives and missions. Directly supports Executive Management by providing information needed to gauge achievement or success, maintain control, and provide future direction for the company and its subsidiary.
Starting with a thorough understanding of the member insights strategy and business and campaign goals, this position analyzes members, business initiatives and multi-channel marketing. In order to drive business progress and transformation, the incumbent translates analytics into member and business insights and develops and communicates actionable recommendations to business stakeholders. This position contributes to and supports the development of an analytics strategy that is flexible and supports the organization’s evolving strategies and priorities.
Additionally, this role will be cross-trained in Database Marketing (push email and Marketing Automation), engaging as needed. This would include Planning and executing database selection criteria for assign tasks, and executing the list selections in conjunction with the email operations team, and the Marketing team.
This position is responsible for leading a center of excellence team that supports the product marketing teams at NEA Member Benefits and SEIU. It includes paid digital media, social media marketing and SEO, content marketing, media management and brand management. The role also covers offline marketing as well as reporting and analysis. The business results this position drives includes: increased traffic to NEAMB.com, increased leads through an optimized digital experiencing, and increasing the emotional connection with members.
This position is responsible for providing prompt, accurate, and courteous sales and service assistance to NEA and SEIU members who inquire about NEA and SEIU Member Benefits products and services by telephone, mail and email.
