    NEA Member Benefits (NEAMB) is accepting applications for the position of Manager, Analytics. This position leads the analytics strategy and the development of processes and procedures to efficiently operationalize that strategy. The successful candidate will have a business mindset, a strong understanding of analytics and marketing automation technology, and the ability to convert sprawling data sets into actionable business insights. 


    • Marketing Operations & Analytics: Lead team of database specialists and analysts to enable marketing operations and to use that work to inform actionable member insights. Develop analytics strategy, including a framework for member lifetime value, which provides standardized answers to key business questions and integrates member experience and campaign KPIs.  Define strategic and technical approach to data visualization and data modeling. Collaborate with colleagues to develop agreed-upon service level agreements for timing and delivery of analytics and recommendations.


    • Member Knowledge: Lead effort to ensure organization’s deep understanding of members and related constituencies, including the management of member personas and the identification and understanding of member journeys. Communicate research results in order to maximize organizational understanding and highlight opportunities for follow-up activity.


    • Analytics Process Management: Lead ongoing process of defining business needs for analytics technology and processes, and working with IT to translate needs into requirements for IT enablement. Based on clearly defined and accepted analytics strategy, collaborate with IT colleagues to determine which analytics and marketing planning platforms can most efficiently enable analytics strategy and the communication of business insights. Establish thorough understanding of data and data architecture in order to identify improved processes and procedures.


    • Budget & Relationship Management: The incumbent is responsible for the development of an annual departmental budget for internal (e.g., NEA MB Departments' support) and external (e.g., consultants) services.  The incumbent must monitor the budget and report any significant variances to Executive Management. This position requires frequent contact with executive level staff, Program Management Teams, Marketing Services, and Affiliate Relations Units.  It also requires periodic contact with affiliates, national staff and members.


    This position requires a combination of at least seven years of experience in monitoring, manipulating, and drawing insights from data; developing and communicating strategies and inspiring business evolution; researching, evaluating and negotiating business partnerships; evaluating and improving business operations; managing, coaching, and inspiring personnel; and assessing and mitigating situational risk.  A BS/BA Degree is required; an advanced degree, such as an MBA, is desirable. Other requirements for this position include strong interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written skills; demonstrated understanding of customer segmentation methodologies, relational databases and data models, and processes surrounding data mining and modeling; and experience with or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn the following tools / programs / methodologies:
