Overview

NEA Member Benefits (NEA MB) is accepting applications for the position as Human Resources Generalist to join our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will report to the Human Resources Director and serves as the primary recruiter for NEA MB to include full-life-cycle recruitment and employee development in support of organizational strategy and to promote a culture of innovative thinking and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Full Life-cycle Recruiting.
  • Responsibilities include analysis of staffing needs and implementation and maintenance of all corporate job descriptions.
  • Identify resources necessary to ensure a pipeline of qualified and diverse applicant pools in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain communications with employment agencies, draft recruiting advertisements and select appropriate venues targeted to position requirements, tracking the status of employment requisitions in compliance with the corporate policies and union contract (i.e., adherence to internal posting procedures), screening of qualified candidates utilizing valid, skill based assessment instruments. 
  • Incumbent must establish and maintain an ongoing dialogue with hiring manager throughout the recruitment process to assess and communicate position requirements, recruitment strategy and the scheduling of interviews.
  • Onboard new and Off board exiting employees
  • Ability to administer the company Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and coordinate the flow of human resource related information, including data entry, retrieval, and generation of standard and ad hoc management reports. 
  • Coordinates interfaces with other internal systems such as payroll, time and attendance, and benefits, training (internal and external).

Qualifications

  • BA in Human Resources or related and five to seven experience in the human resources arena. 
  • Experience includes recruiting, employee development, policy and procedure implementation and administration.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of recruitment strategies, to include social recruiting best practices, and equal employment opportunity compliance. 
  • Incumbent must possess well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate to staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be computer literate, and able to demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, or similar software packages. 
  • Experience with ICIMS Talent Platform, ATS is preferred.
